Friends of Fairfax House
Annual General Meeting – Friends of Fairfax House
The Friends Annual General Meeting will be held on Monday 14 April 2025 at 2pm in the Belfrey Hall, Stonegate, York.
Wendy Bundy and Angela Pugh will present the annual report and the financial statement, and committee members will be elected with existing members offering themselves for re-election.
The committee will be asking the AGM to approve two important matters. First, it is proposed to increase annual membership subscriptions from January 2026 to £15 single (now £12), £25 joint (now £18) and £200 life membership (now £150). Second, it is proposed to change our constitution to refer to an ‘independent examiner’ (rather than ‘auditors’) and an ‘independently examined financial statement’ (rather than ‘audited’). This meets Charity Commission guidelines.
Tea/coffee and biscuits will be served after the AGM, following which Andrew Morrison Chief Executive York Civic Trust will be talking about the Civic Trust’s project to rejuvenate seven of the city centre Snickleways including new research, intensive cleaning and fresh public interpretation.
There is no need to book for the AGM and there is no charge.
