1773 ONWARDS…

Here we find ourselves in the Saloon at Fairfax, the final stop on our journey. The last two remaining Fairfaxes have come together for one last hurrah. As Ann plays a tune and her father Charles attempts to dance a minuet, they are naught but whispers of the past.

Through a small number of objects in the museum collection we have peered through windows into their short time here. And yet we have barely seen a thing. Over one thousand four hundred objects make up the Fairfax House collection. Imagine the stories each of those could tell us.

It leads us to question… What will the objects we leave behind tell future generations about us? How would they fathom our character from a tour of our homes?
