Great value… Your ticket will give you 12 months’ complimentary admission to Fairfax House and repeat entry to the museum’s changing exhibitions.
Adults: £8.50
Students: £7.50
65s and over: £7.50
Children 16 and under are free with a paying adult.
Tickets are valid for a full year from the date of your first visit and they can be used as many times as you like.

- York Pass holders
- National Art Pass holders
- Historic Houses Association members
- Carers accompanying a paying disabled person
20% off for Museums Association and York Card Holders.
Tickets are personal and not transferable so we will ask you to sign your name on the ticket and you may be asked for ID on your return visit. Your ticket will only be accepted for re-admission if it has been signed on the day of your first visit.
Pre-Booking
General Admission
Book online or walk-in on the day.
Please note that you cannot pre-book on the same day you wish to visit – please visit the house as a walk-in guest in this instance (walk-ins are always welcome).

Guided Tours (Fridays)
We recommend pre-booking for guided tours as they fill up quickly, but you can walk in ten minutes before the tour to see if there is space.
GIFT AID IT
York Civic Trust is a registered charity and you can support our charitable aims through Gift Aid.
Under the Gift Aid scheme, instead of paying an admission charge, you donate the same amount.
When you donate, you will be asked to confirm whether or not you are a UK taxpayer. Tax can only be reclaimed on donations made by individuals who pay UK income or capital gains tax at least equal to the amount reclaimed on their donations in the current tax year.
We can then recover tax on your donation. To us, that’s worth an extra 25p for every £1 you give! All you need to do is complete a simple declaration when you arrive. To help in this way you must be a UK taxpayer. Your details will remain confidential.
