In the eighteenth-century Lady Day marked a significant time of year: tax and bills were due but more importantly spring was on its way. It was also the Feast of the Annunciation – a day of deep significance for the devout Fairfax family. \nIt was a time of fortune or loss\, but this year the Fairfaxes are in luck – so they’ve laid on a feast\, lit candles and flung their doors open. Join them on this special immersive day: smell seasonal delights\, see the luxury of Georgian living and hear gorgeous period music. \nWhat is an Enhanced Visit?  \nFairfax House’s Enhanced Visit Days offer a more immersive experience. See Fairfax House as if the family have just left the room\, brought to life with the smells\, sounds and sights of urban Georgian life. The museum is nationally recognised for its innovation in this area\, and was recently awarded the Historic Houses Collection Award 2025. \nTo book this day\, please book a General Admission ticket for Wednesday 25th March.
