On the longest day of the year the House is alive with preparation. The household have lit the candles\, prepared good food and gathered herbs to bring flavour\, healing and protection for the year ahead. \nJoin the Fairfaxes for this special immersive day: smell seasonal delights\, experience the luxury of Georgian living and hear the echoes of the past as Fairfax House comes to life. \nWhat is Awakening the Past?  \nFairfax House’s Awakening the Past days offer a more immersive experience. See Fairfax House as if the family have just left the room\, brought to life with the smells\, sounds and sights of urban Georgian life. The museum is nationally recognised for its innovation in this area\, and was recently awarded the Historic Houses Collection Award 2025. \nTo book this day\, please book a General Admission ticket for Wednesday 24th June.
