The King David Panel comes in third for the Art Fund’s top artwork for 2017
The results are out. We are delighted to announce that the King David Panel by Grinling Gibbons, recently saved by Fairfax House, has come third in the Art Fund’s national public poll for top funded works in 2017.
Thank you all for your support and voting for the King David Panel. It is tremendous to see this masterpiece come third out of all the magnificent works funded by the Art Fund across 2017.
What a result… and our congratulations to the National Galleries of Scotland for winning top place with Monarch of the Glen by Sir Edwin Landseer, and to the Ashmolean Museum which came second with The Watlington Hoard.
