As part of York Ghost Week, Fairfax House invites you to join us for an unforgettable evening where you can explore Fairfax House by the warm glow of candlelight and be in with the chance to win one of the exclusive Ghost Merchant’s Black Box Edition No. 22.

Join us on select ghost week evenings to step back in time and discover Fairfax House’s Annus Horribilis: The Horrible Year. The house is full of clues to scrutinise, challenges to solve and ghosts to count, requiring all your senses! You will have to investigate carefully and guess correctly to be in with a chance of winning this beautiful ghost.

Do not miss this rare opportunity to see Fairfax House lit entirely by candlelight, transporting you to a winter’s eve in the eighteenth century in this captivating Ghost Week experience.

These special candlelit sessions of our Annus Horribilis event will run from 5pm to 7pm on Monday 28th October, Wednesday 30th October and Friday 1st November (last entry 6:15pm).

Please note that annual return tickets cannot be used for these evening sessions.

Adults are £9.50, concessions are £8, and kids always go free!
