Fairfax House warmly welcomes you to join us this festive season on an exclusive candlelit evening tour. Curator-led, you’ll have a private view of our wonderful Christmas exhibition A Season for Giving, and get to learn first hand about everything, from inspiration to installation. From dazzling displays of silverware and eighteenth century costume, to a stunning 400 piece installation of individually lit Georgian glassware, as you journey through each room you’ll discover the stories behind the many splendid gifts bequeathed to the house and York Civic Trust. To accompany the atmospheric festive scenes, you’ll be offered a warming glass of mulled wine, and mince pie of course!
