Fairfax House, York’s best preserved townhouse, has been used as a filming location for two seasons of the major BBC and HBO drama, Gentleman Jack.
Join Rachel Wallis, Collections Manager and Assistant Curator at Fairfax House, for an evening talk which will allow you to go behind the scenes of what filming a major period drama in a historic house is like.
Find out about the risks, challenges and excitements of life on location, from the early mornings and late nights to brushing shoulders with famous faces. The talk will take place in the Saloon, a lavishly-decorated room.
Join us on Thursday 16th March, starting at 18:30.

Ticket price includes a drinks reception, with wine and soft drinks available. You will have the opportunity to explore Fairfax House, too!
