A series of public performances celebrating the weird and wonderful world of Georgian entertainment.

York Theatre Royal and Fairfax House have teamed up to create an early evening experience providing glimpses into a time when the most bizarre activities were considered mainstream. This playful series of performances show that the Georgians were perhaps not as straight laced as you might imagine. Collect your map from Fairfax house and watch out for a torch lit processions, boxing matches, country dancing, boozey chocolates and a tug of war.
