Please note: the event is available to register for Friends of Fairfax House, volunteers and York Civic Trust members only.
Join York Civic Trust member and local historian Stan Young as he explores the story of Noel Terry’s twin passions: the city of York and his quest for a very specific high quality cocoa bean which led to the extraordinary decision to purchase plantations in Venezuela.
Stan will be digging into the history of Terry’s involvement with York Civic Trust, his family connections to the city and what made all of this possible – the development and growth of the Terry Company.
