Friends of Fairfax House Event
Thirsk Hall is a 1720s house extended later by John Carr, who designed the Fairfax House interiors. It is on the edge of the town centre close to St Mary’s church. We will have a private tour with the owner, Willoughby Gerrish, and will see the main rooms including the elegant dining room with its fine plasterwork. Then a chance to look around the modern sculpture garden and enjoy tea/coffee and cake. Thirsk Hall is not regularly open to the public and this is an opportunity not to be missed.
Includes tea and cake.
