Wressle Castle Visit – Friend of Fairfax House Event

Wressle Castle (near Howden) was built for the Percy family in the 1390s but taken over by Henry VIII in 1537 after the ‘Pilgrimage of Grace’ rebellion. Extensively damaged in the Civil War, it is now a fascinating ruin. We will have an introductory talk, a tour of the castle remains, located by the river Derwent, followed by afternoon tea in the village hall.

Your ticket includes Afternoon Tea.

For Friends of Fairfax House only.
