By accessing and using the Fairfax House website, you agree to comply with the following terms and conditions. These may be updated without notice.  

Ticket Bookings 

• Tickets purchased through our website are non-refundable unless a cancellation or change is due to an error or change on our part. If your event is cancelled, you will receive a Gift Card for the value of your ticket, redeemable exclusively for Fairfax House tickets and events.

• We may be able to amend the date or time of your booking, subject to availability. 

• Tickets are valid only for the date and time specified at the time of purchase, unless rescheduled with our agreement. 

• Proof of purchase must be presented on arrival (digital or printed confirmation). 

• For concession tickets, we may request identification or proof of age. 

• For affiliate tickets, we will request proof of membership.  

 

Visiting Fairfax House 

• Visitors must adhere to all posted signs and instructions from staff and volunteers during their visit. 

• Entry may be refused or revoked at our discretion, particularly in cases of inappropriate behaviour, non-compliance with house rules, or disruption to others. 

House rules  

• Please do not touch any collection objects in the museum collection unless explicitly permitted. 

• Large bags must be left in lockers on arrival. 

• Backpacks cannot be carried on your back. 

• Food and drink are not permitted in the museum. 

• Flash photography is prohibited. 

• Our volunteers and staff are here to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all guests. They have the right to ask any visitor to leave if their behaviour is disruptive or poses a risk to the collection or others. 

• Children must be supervised at all times.  

 

Liability 

Fairfax House is not liable for any personal belongings lost, damaged, or stolen during your visit. We will not be held responsible for any injuries caused by failure to follow safety instructions or house rules. 

 

Guided Tours

You must arrive before the stated time of your Friday Guided Tour / Curator Tour. Late arrivals will not be admitted.
