As is the centuries-old tradition, the Fairfax Family are inviting you as their neighbours and friends, to join for a Midsummer Day celebration. On the longest day of the year the House is alive with preparation. The household have lit the candles, prepared good food and gathered herbs to bring flavour, healing and protection for the year ahead.

Fairfax House’s Awakening the Past days offer a more immersive experience. See Fairfax House as if the family have just left the room, brought to life with the smells, sounds and sights of urban Georgian life. The museum is nationally recognised for its innovation in this area, and was recently awarded the Historic Houses Collection Award 2025.
